"I got this tent summer before last (summer of 2008) while leading bike trips. I was an intern and my mom had decided that all I need was a $25 Campmor tent while spending two months in New England. God was she wrong which I knew and tried to explain but of course she didn't listen. So I spent the first week sleeping in this Campmor tent with really no problems but we had yet to encounter any rain. Luckly at the end of the first week we made a trip up to Freeport, Maine where North Face has a big outlet store. I was looking around and saw this tent and also it was on sale. So I said screw it and went for it. I got the tent and the ground fly for $100 even. Lets just say I was pretty satisfied.
For the next week we stayed in Acadia Maine right near coast so we experience some pretty high winds. I never used the guide lines and never once had the slightest of problems.
Well the next week is when the rain started to come.. For the next two weeks straight we got rained on. There was actually a hurricane coming through but we kept going with the trips anyway. The tent took the rain like it was nothing. 95% of the time the tent got packed wet because there was no other option but it didn't seem to mind. Even after having the tent set up in the same spot for two days straight in a torrential down poor there was only two drops that had come through where the zipper was.
I've been using this tent for almost two years now and it has been a great. Besides a few minor problems this is a great tent and if I had too I would most definitely buy it again.
There are a few things about this tent that i really don't like though. The first one that wont apply anymore because they changed the design, was sleeves instead of hooks for the poles. It makes setting up a pain but two bad. Though as I said this doesn't apply anymore.
My second and biggest complaint would be opening he rain fly from the inside. If it is raining or there dew on the rain fly when you go to open it you will get soaked. You basically have to crawl out the vestibule to reach the zipper.
Next I would like to say that the length isn't all that great. I stand at 5'11" and don't have much room to spar. If I toss and turn in the night a lot of times I will have moved up or down and I will wake up with either my head or my feet pushed against the end of the tent. If the walls went more straight up then at a harsh angle like they do then I would have tons more space but that's just not the case. I usually just end up sleeping at an angle and it's never a problem but it's something to think about.
Now I wouldn't take any of these complaints to harshly because they are all minor problems can easily be lived with. Especially for the price, even at full price this thing is a steal. I would recommend this to anybody on a budget looking for a great tent."

"At 6' 5" the Rock 22 fits me like a glove so if you're shorter, it will more than suffice. Make sure you stake out the ends of the fly or you might get wet. Comes with 6 stakes - one for each corner, and one each per the flies over the doors which means you'll need two more stakes to stake out the ends. Comes with 4 tie down ropes, presumably for the tie downs on the fly itself. If you stake out the ends you'll be two ropes shy for the fly itself. Ideally it should come with 12 stakes and 6 ropes, but stakes and rope are cheap. Love the "round" doors which makes ingress and egress one-handed and fast. Have not used it in hot weather where sans fly it should be breezy to sleep in. Overall, a good three season tent."

"great two person tent. light weight. plenty of room for two and a couple of packs (but not much more than that). easy to set up. looks beautiful. two doors make getting in and out for both people incredibly easy."
