"I used this jacket while climbing Mt. Whitney last April and it held up very well in rain/sleet/snow throughout the trip. I used a baselayer beneath it and stayed relatively warm the entire time."

"The jacket is great for rain. It is extremely lightweight for the days it rains during the summer. For the fall or winter this jacket wouldnt be a good pick, but if you are looking for a durable rain coat, North Face makes a good one."
