"This jacket has been absolutely great for me. I use it to bike in all type of cold/rainy conditions in California and it's been wonderful."

"I just wore my new jacket for the first time in cold weather, and it was really good. It is snowing, -2deg.F with about about 25mph winds, when I took it outside. I had a t-shirt, one thin mid-layer and the Valkyrie. I went outside to mainly test how warm the jacket was, and I was surprised at how well the jacket actually stopped the wind. My face was exposed and very cold, but my body was perfectly warm and comfortable. I also like the functionality of the material and jacket overall. A+ all around!"

My Key Piece of Kit

"This has become THE piece of kit that always goes with me! It replaces my Woolrich wool shirt of 40 years ago -- it is that good. I have used it in the Front Range West of Denver and in the Shenandoah NP. No more heavy thick fleece -- this with other layers like a Oman shirt or a TKA 100 over a base layer is all you need. Not only is it breathable and water resistant, the outer fabric is tough enough that you can put a pack over it without any trouble of snags, etc. It also sheds wind -- 25 knots worth while above 13,000 feet! It just does not look like it will be really warm but it is -- in 27 degree temperatures and the appropriate layers underneath."
